The Hostages and Missing Families Forum filed a complaint with Lahav 433 regarding the spread of false messages about how hostages held in Gaza were located and rescued.
The false messages also included details such as how "30 families of hostages received word to go to different hospitals in Israel," which were widely distributed and in different versions through social networks such as TikTok, Telegram, and WhatsApp.
