Earthquake alerts sounded across several northern municipalities on Saturday morning, which the IDF has since stated was a false alarm.
The IDF said it is investigating if the alerts were caused by a technical malfunction.
The Golan Regional Council later claimed that citizens heard loud explosions coming from Lebanon and said that the alerts were likely activated due to a preemptive IDF strike on a Hezbollah weapons factory, Israeli media reported.
This is a developing story.
