Reactions by Israeli political officials
National Unity Party Leader Benny Gantz, in a post on X, stated, "Firing flares at the Prime Minister's house is extremely serious, and I strongly condemn it. I am sure that the Shin Bet and the Israel Police will lay hands on the perpetrators, and I call on them to bring them to justice."
Opposition Leader Yair Lapid condemned the incident, saying, "I expect the police to find the culprits and bring them to justice."
Israeli President Isaac Herzog also quickly issued a swift condemnation of the incident, saying that he "spoke with the head of the Shin Bet and expressed the urgent need to investigate and deal with those responsible for the incident as soon as possible.
"The head of the Shin Bet emphasized that this is a dangerous escalation and noted that the investigation by the Shin Bet and the police is being carried out with the utmost seriousness."
"The time has come to provide full support for the restoration of the judicial system and law enforcement systems," declared Deputy Prime Minister and Justice Minister Yariv Levin.
"There was no need for the flares fired tonight at the Prime Minister's house to understand the seriousness of the rampant violence and the refusal of those who are trying to dismantle the country from within."
The incident also comes a month after the Hezbollah terrorist organization also targeted Netanyahu's home in the city.
