US State Department pledged $117 million in support for the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) during a Thursday meeting with regional partners on ending the war between Israel and Hezbollah.
The US said that the funding would be directed toward "expanded security assistance" for the LAF and the Internal Security Forces to assert Lebanese sovereignty over Hezbollah and implement UN Security Council Resolution 1701.
