The IDF's 512th "Paran" Regional Brigade thwarted a drug smuggling attempt at the Egyptian border earlier on Thursday, the military announced.
Soldiers from the 33rd "Caracal" Battalion identified a drone attempting to smuggle drugs over the border and intercepted it, seizing approximately 10kg of drugs, the military clarified.
The drone and seized drugs were transferred to Israel Police for further investigation, the military added.
