IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir has instructed the Home Front Command, Israel Air Force (IAF), and all IDF units to assist in any way possible to extinguish the fires raging in the Jerusalem area on Wednesday, the military announced.
The military added that rescue forces in the IDF have already been assisting police and firefighters in recent hours with efforts to extinguish the fires and evacuate residents.
