An earthquake of magnitude 5.5 struck Tibet on Monday, according to China's state news agency Xinhua.
The quake hit the city of Xigaze at 5:11 a.m., at a depth of 10 km.
Xinhua said authorities were still gathering information about building damage and casualties.
