Israel Police have located the man who stabbed and killed his 67-year-old mother, it announced Saturday night.
The police had conducted extensive searches after he fled the scene.
At 10:02 p.m., Magen David Adom’s 101 hotline in the Carmel region received a report of a violent incident on Iris Street in Nahariya.

According to Maariv, MDA medics and paramedics arrived at the scene and were performing CPR on the woman, who suffered penetrating injuries and was later pronounced dead.
The Coastal District Commander, Commissioner Yechiel Bohadana, arrived at the scene to conduct a situational assessment with police commanders to search for the son, a man in his 30s.
The suspect was arrested and is now in police custody.
