Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar has relocated within the Gaza Strip after learning about the Israeli airstrike that killed Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah, according to a Saturday report by Saudi state-owned television channel Al Arabiya.
The report also claimed that Sinwar's security circles have changed in the past few days and that Hamas leaders also decided to stop communicating with high officials abroad and have canceled all their meetings in Lebanon "until further notice."
According to KAN, their communication is now only limited to written messages.
Hamas officials halt movement
Other senior Hamas officials in Gaza also decided to halt their movement in the Strip after the elimination of Nasrallah, the Al Arabiya report claimed. Additionally, Islamic Jihad terrorists in Lebanon also decided to stop meeting and moving from place to place.
Israel had been investigating one week ago rumors that Sinwar was killed in an IDF strike in the Gaza Strip, but there was no positive intelligence to confirm the reports.
The IDF also retrieved bodies on Monday to conduct genetic testing to determine if he had been killed, N12 reported.
The bodies were taken to the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Abu Kabir for DNA comparison with Sinwar's, but the results came back negative.
