CENTCOM said it struck a Houthi command center as well as storage facilities for missiles and UAVs.
The strike occurred in an area that was formerly controlled by the Syrian regime and Russians, CENTCOM said.
“CENTCOM, working with allies and partners in the region, will not allow ISIS to reconstitute and take advantage of the current situation in Syria,” said Gen. Michael Erik Kurilla.
Wednesday's withdrawl is the first trade of command as outlined under last month's ceasefire.
This appears to be a show of force from the US to show the regime and militias not to get any ideas amid the chaos in Syria.
Jeffers met with Lebanese Armed Forces commander Gen. Joseph Aoun earlier on Friday to discuss the current situation and to coordinate over southern Lebanon.
The strikes were in response to attacks on US personnel over the past 24 hours, CENTCOM reported.
Sgt. Quandarius Davon Stanley was receiving treatment in a long-term care facility after being injured in May while helping move aid to a temporary pier built by the US military.
