The IDF conducted widespread counter-terror operations across the West Bank over the past week as part of a clamp down on terror infrastructure in the region.
"Things must be different this time - the hostages must be brought back as quickly as possible, and Hamas must be decidedly defeated," said an IDF reservist.
During the operation, the troops located several tank shells within the Hamas infrastructure that was being used as a school.
IAI: “The RobDozer is operational and combat-proven, having carried out fully robotic combat missions, drastically reducing the risk to troops."
Israel's emergency response service, Magen David Adom said it had not received reports of injuries.
"The gates of hell might have opened on the Gazans, but for sure they have opened on the 59 hostages, and there is no savior."
The strike, carried out in the Derdghaiya area of southern Lebanon, was led by the 91st Division.
The current strategic environment enables the return to war and is conducive to the ultimate defeat of Hamas.
Earlier this week, Israel killed Ismail Barhoum, a member of Hamas' political office, and Salah al-Bardaweel, another senior leader.
The letter state: "On October 7, the brigade under my command failed in its mission...By the outcome, I failed."
