Jenin is a major Palestinian city in northern West Bank, with population of at least 49,000. Located in Area A of the West Bank, it is under the jurisdiction of the Palestinian Authority.
It contains the Jenin refugee camp, a densely-populated Palestinian refugee camp with a population of around 11,000-22,000 people, according to differing sources and estimates.

Weapons are flowing to the West Bank and enabling the growing terrorist threat, the building blocks of a kind of “Gazafication” are now in place.
This comes amid the clashes between the Palestinian Authority security forces and terrorist factions in the West Bank city of Jenin.
The terror groups emphasized the preservation of “Palestinian blood” and unity as a “top priority” and a “red line.”

The terrorists reportedly attempted to stop the security forces from entering the refugee camp.
"The operation in Jenin is proceeding too slowly and on too small a scale. It is mostly defensive rather than offensive," the Israeli message read.
