Defense Minister Israel Katz reportedly gave instructions to the IDF to destroy any building "incriminated" in terrorist activity.

One of the strikes killed Abd al-Hadi Kamil, a former prisoner convicted of planning terrorist attacks, who was released in the November 2023 hostage deal agreement.

Troops encircled the building in which the terrorists were embedded and killed them. 

During the incident in which Hazi was killed, a soldier in the same battalion was wounded.

Generally, since the Second Intifada of 2000-2005, the IDF has not stationed troops for any extended period within major Palestinian cities like Jenin.

Reporter's Notebook: Jenin has long been seen as a hub for terrorism, where weapons, money, and terrorist forces converge.

This comes as part of an ongoing operation in Jenin aiming to thwart terrorism in the area.

The Palestinian Health Ministry reported that one of the passengers was killed and the other was moderately injured, according to Israeli media reports.

The cell planned to carry out an attack in the immediate future in the northern West Bank.

The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that a two-year-old toddler was killed by IDF fire.
