An 18-year-old man was arrested for armed robbery of a rabbi’s home on Rosh Hashanah, deemed unrelated to antisemitism.

Some 20 guests, including students from the University of Michigan, were at the rabbi's house when a gunman entered last night.

"We are deeply saddened by the death of Kamel Ahmad Jawad and our hearts go out to his family and friends. His death is a tragedy...," a White House spokesperson said.

Michigan's student government plans to withhold funding from student groups until the university divests from Israel, sparking concerns about the impact on campus organizations and unity.

The organization was formed out of the success of Listen to Michigan, which canvased during the 2024 Democratic Party presidential primaries.

At the DNC panel, former Congressman Andy Levin called for Kamala Harris to address Palestinian issues and win Michigan for a potential victory.
