At least 35 people across Nepal have died in landslides, floods and lightning strikes since mid-June when annual monsoon rains started. Rains normally continue until mid-September.
Local media footage showed crumbled facades of multi-storied brick houses, with large pieces of furniture scattered.
"Bring back our brothers and sisters now,” one placard read. “Unite in Light for Nepali lives," said another.
The Israeli volunteer at a local hospital was found dead in a forest near the Chitwan national park.
The worst plane crash to hit the country in 30 years had a fatal end.
There were 72 people on the twin-engine ATR 72 aircraft operated by Nepal's Yeti Airlines, including two infants, four crew members and 10 foreign nationals.
