Earlier, the Lebanese Armed Forces said that it is preparing to deploy its forces to southern Lebanon, Reuters reported on Wednesday.
"Lebanon strongly condemns any attack on UNIFIL and calls on all sides to respect the safety, security of the troops and their premises," Lebanese Foreign Minister said.
The military noted that Friday's attacks came after Hezbollah caused damage to the UNIFIL posts in Ramyeh and Chamaa on Tuesday.
Italian sources said an investigation into the facts was under way. Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani told Italian media that Hezbollah might be responsible for the attack.
