The two protesters were part of the British pro-Palestinian group Youth Demand, aiming to protest UK arms sales to Israel.

The protest calls for the British government to expel the Israeli Ambassador to the UK Tzipi Hotovely, and accused her of inciting genocide.
This comes after the number of antisemitic incidents in the UK doubled in the first half of 2024, as compared to the same period in 2023.
The activists took issue with the UoM's partnership with the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Tel Aviv University.
