The foreign secretary said the government will now provide £21 million in new funding and that UNRWA had taken steps to “ensure it meets the highest standards of neutrality."
The same bill, which comes in light of evidence suggesting UNRWA employees' links to Hamas, will abolish the immunities and privileges gifted to UNRWA employees.
“Without a shadow of a doubt, the UNRWA agency proved on October 7 that it is a terrorist organization that is no different from the terrorist organization Hamas."
