More than 4,500 people attended and thousands of viewers watched the memorial, which is the largest English-language memorial in Israel.
The event was held at the Sportek in Ganei Yehoshua Park in Tel Aviv in the presence of Mayor Ron Huldai.
The site, located in the Megiddo Regional Council, has long served as a national tribute to kibbutz members who died in wars or acts of terror.
